I am posting because I need to let everyone know on ever medium possible that I am going to see Gabe Bondoc perform tonight. I LOVE THE ASIANS AT MY SCHOOL. It was sad that I had to miss AJ Rafael because I was still en route to G-ville, but!! gabe ♥__♥ I guess it's a good thing I didn't end up going to Lollicup on Wednesday cause I was going to wear my Gabe the Giraffe shirt. XD now I can wear it tonight!!

XD but the song has grown on me, as I knew it would...haha. but I prefer the remix version. :o I like the album; it's pretty solid. And their thank you messages... ): oh 2PM. oh! you know what I've been thinking of lately? soooo back when JYP still twittered (I miss his tweets XD), he tweeted about a song he had written for 2PM and was all 'I just wrote a song for 2PM's new album! It's so crazy! It has no genre!!' and ever since the album's been out, I've been trying to figure out which song that would be...until I read that the bass for Heartbeat are the boys' heartbeats, which makes the song ~unique~ and ~genre-less~ and I was like OMG. I bet Heartbeat is the song that's so crazy it has no genre. XD

...um. yeah. so I watched some Star Golden Bell episode the other day and SHINee was on it. There were some noona fans so Kang Hodong was all 'do you guys have something you want to say to SHINee?' and one girl was like 'noona has four bank books!!' and another was like 'noona has a bank book and a house!!' so he asked another girl, who told them her address. I've also finished Batman Beyond so now I'm back to watching DBZ. XD I think I've seen four episodes tonight alone...dang. I'm also concurrently watching Captain Planet, but it's a bit too young for me (like Digimon and Pokemon--could only take them in small doses (and by "small doses" I mean "100-150 episode increments" lmao)) so I won't be gobbling it up. Plus, there are a zillion episodes and idk if I can handle that. XD; I've also been entertaining the idea of picking Pokemon back up (I'd only seen through the first Johto arc before I had to stop, lol)...but we'll see about that, lol. It's almost takudrama season, ahaha. I guess Mr. Brain threw me off. +__+

And I read the shokura summaries on the NHK site--kisumai abake!! akjefkaief *___* I cannot wait for next week's episode now, omgggg. I hope it's funny, ahaha. And now, some kpop for your thoughts. Well, this isn't really all that thought-inspiring, but it made me lol like no other. I had thought the Japanese fans (BigEast) were not as crazy as the Korean fans (Cassiopeia), but it seems as though I was mistaken. I don't see it as a big deal, but idk why he didn't say "thank you cassies & bigeast" (cause if he'd just thanked bigeast, I'm sure the cassies would have flipped or something just like bigeast is XD). I mean, I read he said it in Korean, so maybe he was just thanking the cassies who were present? lol idk. XD

Also, this. It just sort of confirmed my suspicions that Korean fans are crazy because fangirling is such serious business. o__O; I spend a lot of time analyzing the jimusho and looking for ways to turn fandom into something way more involved than it really is, but I don't...all of that just seems a little overboard? XD And in the comments some girl said that her Korean friend was telling her that as a Korean fan, she is under a lot more pressure than the American fans. lol wtf? why should a fandom put pressure on anyone?

Hello! Welcome to Part 2.5 of the Johnny's Entertainment Pimp Post! This part details the Golden Age, which is sometimes called the Golden Age of Johnny's Juniors. This isn't a continuation of Part 2, and is instead more of a link from Part 2 to Part 3, the latter of which will concentrate on what I call the Golden Age groups or the Golden Agers. That is, almost all boys in the groups from Arashi to KAT-TUN were juniors during the Golden Age period.

To preface, there really isn't that much written information out there about the Golden Age (probably because it's more of an unofficial thing, haha), nor did I write over 4000 words about how Takki revolutionized Japan as a junior with his pedo for Pi or something. XD So corrections & contributions are welcome! I don't claim to be the johnny's authority, ahaha.

So in the same way that SMAP separates the daisenpai from the senpai, the Golden Age defines the line between the senpai and its participants. (That is, Arashi does not act as the Golden Age version of SMAP (even though they kind of are, haha) because it's not solely their fault that there was a new era; in fact, that title more appropriately belongs to Takki.)

...I feel like this is a rather weak ending, but I can't think of good conclusion. XD; sorry, ahaha.

sooo I had a whole rant about the wank about Epik High's album's being leaked and Miyavi's marriage and...something else that I can't quite remember, but then for some reason last night I decided to watch the Gee MV. why, I really have no idea. XD I've kind of wanted to watch it ever since I read an article that said Big Bang & Wondergirls were the most influential Korean artists, and then the article had to explain itself ("out of fear from Cassiopeia"--no lie, that is what it said XD), and also said this was from before the "Gee craze." theeen I remembered Minho ♥ was in the video, so I watched it.

I haven't listened to a song this much since Number 1 came out. XD I can already do half of the dance. MY HEART. T___T But the song is so infectious, omgggg. Someone please love this song as much as I do. I am by no means an SNSD fangirl (I thought SNSD & Girls' Generation were two different groups, and that SNSD was Wondergirls's Korean name's abbreviation XDDD), but. :| I can't decide who I think is prettier between Yoona & Taeyeon (or even Tiffany). XD and I think Hyoyeon is scary looking. x:

It is now time for more familiar territory! The post-SMAP, pre-Golden Age era groups. I'll talk about the Golden Age in depth later, but by "post-SMAP, pre-Golden Age" I mean SMAP through kinki even though SMAP can't technically come after itself. XD; At any rate we (or at least I xD) call these groups the senpai groups because the only daisenpai left in the company (as musicians that is) are Matchy, Kinoppy, Akkun, & Kenichi, and the only group older than SMAP is Shonentai (also daisenpai). That's only seven men left from the first twenty years of je! :o

Anyway, now that we've moved away from the giant daisenpai era, I guess I should explain how I'm going to go about doing this. Rather than divvying up the groups into an easy time line like 90s!je or 21stcentury!je, I consider debuted groups' eras to be defined as their time as juniors. Tonisen (older half of V6), SMAP, and half of TOKIO all joined in the late 80s, and kamisen (younger half of V6), kinki, and what's left of TOKIO all joined in 1993 or earlier (Okada not included). So you can see there is a little bit of a gap, but the older group members were juniors together and the younger group members were juniors together, so it works out in the end. ((:

But that's how I'll be doing it. I'm explaining myself to avoid confusion (though I may have just created more, haha) and let everyone know why I'm excluding Arashi from this part of the post even though it would make a more even division if I did it using twentieth & twenty-first century groups. oh well. can't win 'em all. xD

To the surprise of no one, I am going through a senpai phase. I watched Best Artist yesterday, and I was going to post about it but I had to leave to go see family. x: For some reason I was really, really tired. And I had a horrendous headache. :\ So I sat around drinking some girly beer like an emo fool, lol. I also forced my family to leave at 12:30 so I could go to bed, and then I promptly slept for twelve hours. >__>; But I woke up this morning completely free from any sickness! So that's good.

uh, so, today was supposed to be my day to finish all my apps and stuff, but family visited so I did absolutely nothing. 8Db This means I must do it tomorrow even though I'm going shopping with my mother. x: It's a good thing I only need to bs my way through two supplement essays, haha. maybe I'll even be struck with some wit like I was for my Richmond essay (srsly, I was such a jerk in it XD). but who cares~

I feel like a part was missing or smth cause they showed clips from various perfs, but there were no actual perfs. >>; It seems like the sort of thing that would be included! oh well. ): I didn't write up a report or anything cause it was short and there wasn't much to say cause I was only half-listening to what the random lady was narrating when there was narration, so all I got was some crap about Hikaru Genji & Yoshitsune, and then some lady was singing enka...idk.

It was like an epic butai, but then randomly some old guy I don't know started tap dancing as baby Golden Agers sat around and watched excitedly, and then Akira came out and pretended to be taking a crap but didn't have toilet paper so the random guy gave him some and then they tap danced together. >>; In the middle of an epic butai about Hikaru Genji with tiny juniors in yukata. It was so random, but so very johnny's. XD; Then the play got epic again, only to have Higashi rip off his traditional clothing to reveal sequins and sweatpants and dance with the original MA and act generally varvar awesome. *3*

I was really surprised cause at the beginning the juniors were dancing to some epic music, and then suddenly Higashi flies out and I'm like WHAT? and then I see kamisen (at first I only recognized Go and then I was like WAIT, OKADA? MIYAKEN? and then), and then Inocchi, and then Shingo and I was like WHAT IS SMAP DOING HERE? and then Akira comes flying out and at this point I'm just like akjeflaklefk SENPAI? until I notice tinypi and also Baru. XD I was seriously freaking out, hahaha. And then Nakai was there with a mic and a book, but he just stood there and that was the last of him. XD;

and then there was a talk segment at the end, and since everyone's hair was lolarious, ( i took some caps to treasure the moment )

I definitely had other things to talk about, but I got carried away with kyo to kyo even though I ttly didn't mean to. XD; I will reply to comments that I haven't yet tomorrow evening!
